Country Pride Labradors

Testimonials . . .

Jennifer and her family are truly wonderful people who love their labradors very much, they have what it takes to be "breeders" since a breeder is someone who makes the breed "better", i highly recommend Country Pride...... Lisa/West Virginia.

Jennifer has been an animal lover since she was a small child, but it reached a fever pitch when she began breeding and raising Labs.  ... and it doesn't end with her.  The entire family is supportive and involved.  She provides all appropriate medical care and pest preventive measures.  Food is all high quality with vitamin supplements.  Routine play time, exercise and training are all a part of the daily regimen.  Bath time is an experience everyone enjoys.  Each of her dogs has an individual kennel and living quarters, with a spacious grassy area for exercise and just plain romping around. As her mother, I can attest to the superb care and love given these animals, and hope the puppies future homes will provide the same love and care they receive at Country Pride Labs.                                                                                                                                       You Go Girl!                                                                                                                                                     Love, Mom

I just wanted to let you know that Nessie is doing wonderful.   She is fitting into our home like she's been here all along.  She's great with the kids and they love her.  Our older dog, Gibson, is also enjoying having her around.  Thanks so much for such a great dog.  You and your family really take great care of your dogs and puppies.  I've included a picture of Nessie and Gibson.  Cori/Maryland

The puppies are doing great - here are a few pictures. Thanks again for everything. We love our new family!   Amanda/West Virginia.

Thank-you so very much for a truly lovely pup. I love Stormie to death. Stormie has adjusted so well. The ride home was fine. She sat on the seat the whole way. The steps into and inside of the house were scary for her but she can do them now. She knows her name and is going out the dog door to the outside to use the bathroom. Today I took her to run and walk in the woods and she really loved it. She followed right with me and close off the leash. She ran and ran through the field and played ball with me. She is so calm in the house and sweet.  There are a lot of people in and out of my house and everyone just makes over her and loves her. She has become much more outgoing in a few short days. The pitbull pup I have just licks her and play with her. My friends joke that it was an arranged marriage that worked.  I hope you keep raising labs for a few more years because I'll definitely be back for another one. Thank-you again.  Janet/ West Virginia.

Well this must be a surprise. And It's me again. I just wanted to tell you a little about how things are going. Buddy loves his kennel most of the day he is in there sleeping. The funny thing is the moment he came into the house he went straight in there because we put his bed in there. He is also really good about going to the bathroom. When he needs to go he will scratch my leg or get really jumpy. Not once had he peed in his kennel or in the house. We are really happy about that.  He really likes spending time with me.  Today my mom took him to my school to pick me up. You don't imagine how many people came to see the beautiful puppy. There were students from kindergarden to eighth grade and teachers too. Everybody loved him. I mean who wouldn't? Another thing is that the day we got him we taught him to sit and to give us his paw. He is smart and a big eater. But I love him. So thank you again for making my Christmas present so perfect and for bringing happiness and joy to all of us. Thank you.   Maria/Maryland

Well, we have been home about 6 hours and we are having such a WONDERFUL time with Koda. He has been a perfect angel and we can't thank you enough. I have attached a couple of pictures for you to see - he seems to be settling in just fine. We think he is PERFECT - if we do say so ourselves!!! We will keep you updated on how he is doing.  Darren and Kim, Virginia.

Just thought I would give you an update on Bear.  He is doing really well and as you can see by the pictures he is a handsome fellow.  At his last visit to the vet (last week) for shots he weighed 37 lbs.  He has the best personality...not high strung or anything like that... we don't have to cage him when we are gone...he doesn't bother anything and is housebroken.  He and I start puppy obedience class next week, and I know he will be the best in the class.  He is great on a lead and we walk everyday plus he will stay right with me off lead.  He is definitely a welcome and much loved addition to our family.   Debbie

I wanted to email you a picture of Nessie today, so I included it in my reply. I took the pictures this morning, so they are Nessie's first 1 year old photos. I also wanted to let you know what a great dog she is! I couldn't have asked for a better dog with a better temperament. My youngest daughter just turned two last month and Nessie has been her best friend since we brought her home last August. Nessie allows Maggie (the two year old) to climb all over her, lay on her, and just generally torment her (we don't let it get out of control). When Maggie and Nessie are outside, I can count on Nessie to be where ever Maggie is and vice-versa. My husband was relocated at the end of April to Missouri. We live outside of Kansas City on about 1 1/2 acres. Much more room than we had before in Maryland. Nessie is loving it. She now has tons of room to run and chase birds.
Nessie is having a hard time with the fireworks today and over the past weekend, but thunderstorms don't seem to bother her. Thanks again for such a great dog and good luck with all of your future litters; I still check your website weekly to ogle the new puppies. The silver pups were gorgeous! Did they have blue eyes? It looked like it in the pictures that were posted.

Have a great 4th of July!

Thanks again!

Roger,
Thank you so much for delivering our new puppy. My wife fell in love with instantly. It was so perfect. We all love her. She gets along great with the other dogs and is crate training with them very well. She plays hard and sleeps hard and is very smart. We haven't had many issues with messes inside either. She is a fun and adorable puppy. I will definitely spread word of your business to others that I know who love labs.
My wife says thanks for helping bring her childhood dream of owning a chocolate lab come true. She did settle on the name Lilly. She will get so much TLC that she be overflowing with it. We will send you pictures as she grows and matures. We already had the camera out, and will send you some once they are developed (still film).
Thanks again.

Hi Roger,
Thought I would give you an update on Bear...he is doing great and growing like a weed! He is sooo funny. He loves to go out in the yard and play in the leaves. I’ve been walking him 3 times a week with me on the rail trail. He walks some and I carry him some. I've only been going about 1/2 mile with him but he does really well. By next spring I'm hoping he can walk with my sister and I and we walk about 5 miles 4 or 5 times a week. I take him back to the vet on Saturday for his shots and checkup. When I took him the Monday after I got him he weighed 9.4 lbs. I weighed him this past Monday and he weighed 14.5 lbs. He's very good at night....just goes right in his crate beside the bed and goes to sleep. Doesn't get up until 6:30 or 7:00 am. I've never had a dog that liked his crate...when he gets tired he goes upstairs to his crate, goes in and goes to sleep. He's doing good with housebreaking also....still has an accident here and there, but has the idea. I've been up on the website Chocolatelabs.com and some of the people up there with pups from disreputable breeders and what they go through is awful...I'm very thankful for finding you guys and Bear! Thank you! And remember, you always have a standing invitation to stop by and see him whenever you are up this way!

Hi Roger.
Thank you for meeting us last week to pick up the puppy. We appreciate you taking the time (in the heat) to let us hold the pups. It would have been easy to take a few.
"Buddy" is adjusting to his new home more and more each day. Our son Christopher is very happy to have his "Buddy." He sleeps beside his kennel at night on the floor, in his bedroom. During the day, Buddy hangs out in the kitchen.

We are happy to have Buddy as part of our family. He is a very cute.
Christopher had a soccer tournament last weekend in Alexandria, VA. Buddy came with us to two of his games. Everyone liked him. I gave one soccer mom your website address. She may contact you.
I will send you a picture soon.

Thank you again for everything.
It truly was a pleasure working with you.

Hi Roger,
I just wanted to write and let you know that we have decided on Grady for a name. I hope that we do not have this much trouble naming our children. :) He is doing fantastic. We love him so much. He is so sweet. Sometimes we just watch him sleep. He has won our hearts. Housebreaking is going well and we have discovered that flip flops are his favorite snack. :)
Thanks for everything. I will send you some pictures in a few weeks. I think he is growing already.

Roger, things are great with the dog!! We changed the name to
"Coastie". I think she liked it better. She is really enjoying the
Cape and the not so cold weather. She is a little over 30 lbs no and
doing wonderful. I will keep you updated with pictures. Sorry bout
the reply on the email I just got a new Digital Camera for Christmas
and finally had time to set it up. Hope all is well. Thanks

Dear Roger,
Thought you might like to see our handsome guy outside in his yard which of course is his favorite place to be. He is an absolute delight. He already weighs over 30 pounds and all who see him say he is one of the most beautiful lab puppies they have seen. Of course I tell them where we got him!

Have a great holiday week-end and thanks again for Murphy.

Hello Roger, I just wanted to let you know that little "Mya" has made it
home to Manassas, and is doing very well! She had her vet check up on
Monday and weighed in at 11.9 lbs. She is very healthy and full of love and
energy. Jim and I love every minute with her. I will send over a
picture for you to see her. Thanks again for giving us such a wonderful
gift. We will be sending you a Christmas card as well!

Jennifer, Mannassas, VA

Roger,
Thank you so much for allowing us to pick up Molly at your place yesterday, it was an awesome drive and quite a beautiful country you have back there. Molly did well on the way back. No accidents! The vet checkup today went quite well. She's really gotten much closer to us now than yesterday. I think she's finally accepted us as her pack leaders! I have no doubt that she'll be the most loveable and well-behaved dog we perceived her to be in the future.

Again, thank you so much for all you've done and working with us the past year and for giving us a gift of joy in Molly. We wish you the best and we'll definitely recommend you to our friends and family.

Hello Roger,

We took Delta for his second vet visit and the doctor said he's doing great and that he hasn't seen a lab that looks that beautiful, with such great temperament and shape in a long time. :D I've taught him his name and to come and to sit. He's so smart. It only took him a week to learn the sit command. And he's doing great with housetraining when he's out of the cage, most of the time whining and walking by the door when he has to go.

Thank you for such a great dog!

Danielle, Fayetteville, NC

Hi Roger, I thought I would let you Know the puppy is doing great. She is growing 25lbs now, the vet said that she came from a good breeder wanted to know where we got Hanna. I thought you would like to know that. Thanks Max, West Virginia

Hey Roger!

I just thought I would fill you in on the little guy. We have decided to name him Marley. He is such a sweet, sweet dog. We are working really hard on potty training and staying in the kennel at night. The first two nights were rough we were getting up a lot cause he was barking and I thought he needed to go outside. But as the nights have gone on he is getting much better last night he went to the kennel at 12am and slept till 6:30am without barking! And now since we have been home the potty training is getting much better. I will send you some pictures of him soon. He was very unsure about all the snow but has since grown to like it. He will jump into the banks and play and eat the snow!

So he is doing great and we are so glad he is in our family. I will keep you posted and send some pictures.

Thanks again

Hi Roger,

Just thought we would give you a little update on how "Judd" is coming along.

Visited our vet in Huntington on March 6th. He was quite a hit in the waiting room. Comments like beautiful, gorgeous, cute, cutie, even magnificent!

The vet game him a top notch health rating. Stated that (you) the breeder did an excellent job in this first eight weeks. Good purchase, good investment in nice looking animal.

All of those remarks certainly went over Judd's head........but he's adapting. We feel he is ALMOST house broken. Not completely there yet but we're working on it.

Judd has traveled to work with me every day since March 5th. He travels real well. During those work days he has acquired a new nickname. Oil and Gas Inspector. O.G.I.
Oh Gee i.e.!

Thanks,
Ralph, Dee, & Tyler 2, West Virginia

Just thought I would give you an update on Max. He is doing very well. He is a wonderful puppy, and I look forward to a full lifetime of love and enjoyment. I
will keep in touch. I have attached a picture of him from last
evenings play session.

Roger,
Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I took Cooper (Apr 3rd litter) back to the vets for her follow-up shots. Looks like everything is developing properly and she is good to go.
What a treat she is……………..full of personality, energy and just a love bug! She's taking her first trip to the Outer Banks next week to chase some seagulls, so I'll be sure to send a picture of her beach trip! Maybe the picture will make it into your scrapbook!
Take care…..
Kathy,

Hi Roger!

I took these pictures this week and thought I would forward them to you so
you could see your first "Buckeye" was doing. I think he is about 70+lbs
right now. He's too heavy and large for me to pick up and get on the scale
with, but I'm guessing 70ish.

He is such a good boy. Very calm and willing to please. We love him.

I hope all is well with you!
